The Fall Migration is On

Report Date: October 3, 2015

We went for swordfish Monday and had six bites. We got 3 on the leader, including some jumps. However we only boated one, about 130 pounds. This fish ate a squid on a jug rod escorting a Hooker Electric Drive. The angler used the electric assist till the fish was 150 feet away. he was beat by the time the fish surrendered.

Yesterday sailfish were chasing schools of ballyhoo in 100 to 120 feet of water and eating live baits. Schools of spanish mackerel were jumping on any small trolling baits off Haulover Cut in 15 to 30 feet of water.

We caught small dolphin, jacks, barracuda, bonito and mutton snapper and a nice grouper.

Let's go catch a bunch
